본 연구는 창의・인성교육이 학업성취에 어떤 영향을 미쳤는지를 확인하기 위하여 창의・인성 모델학교와 일반학교의 학생학업성취도를 분석하였다. 이를 위해 2010년, 2011년, 2012년의 창의・인성 모델학교 190개교와 일반학교 195개교 학생들의 국가수준 학업성취도 평가 결과를 분석하였다. 일반학교 195개교는 학생 수, 초, 중, 고 학교급, 지역 등을 고려하여 선정되었다. 연구결과, 모델학교와 일반학교의 초, 중, 고등학교 학생들의 학업성취도는 차이가 거의 없었으며, 국어과목에서 창의・인성 모델학교의 학업성취가 일반학교보다 더욱 향상되었다. 따라서 창의・인성교육이 학업성취에 부정적인 영향을 미치지 않았다. 본 연구의 결과는 창의・인성교육에 대한 다양한 성과 분석이 이루어져야 하며, 이를 바탕으로 창의・인성교육을 발전시키는 것이 필요함을 시사한다.

ABSTRACT
The purpose of this study was to analyze students' academic achievement within creativity・personality model schools and ordinary public schools in order to understand the impact of creativity・personality education in Korea. This study analyzed the national assessment of educational achievement (NAEA) of 190 creativity・personality model schools and 195 public schools in 2010, 2011 and 2012. 195 public schools were selected by considering diverse factors such as the number of students, the educational stage of the schools - elementary, middle and high school, and the schools’ region. Little difference was found in the national assessment of educational achievement between creativity・personality model schools and public schools. The academic achievement for subjects conducted in Korean in creativity・personality model schools outperformed that of public schools. Creativity・personality education did not have a negative impact on students’ academic achievement. The findings of this study support the idea that the various learning outcomes of creativity・personality education require further study. Furthermore, creativity・personality education can be improved based on additional findings.
